Plague Doctor: Apothecary · Inside the demo

Apothecary: display, research or sell your curiosities?

Unusual specimens give you another choice in the shop: build a display, uncover a journal page or bring in some copper.

A different kind of stock

Remedies keep the shelves busy, but trade can also turn up unusual specimens. Curiosities are part of the free Apothecary demo, giving you something else to consider between brewing and serving customers.

The official demo page describes three uses: display a specimen in your curiosity cabinet, research it for journal pages, or sell it for copper.

What would you like from the find?

If you enjoy collecting, take a look at the display option. If a specimen makes you curious about Rookbridge, consider researching it. Selling is another choice when you would rather put copper toward running the shop.

There is a useful question to ask before choosing: am I more interested in keeping this find, learning about it, or using its sale to support today’s trade? Let that guide what you explore next.

Try it in the demo

The free Steam demo has no in-game day limit, so you can spend time getting to know the shop. It allows one worker; annex expansions, additional workers and further progression are reserved for the full game.

When you find something unusual, which option catches your attention first? I’d love to hear what you like to keep in your cabinet.
