Apothecary: make the shop fit your pace

Prefer counting every coin, or spending more attention on the next brew? A closer look at the demo’s comfort and assistance options.

Choose where you want to focus

Running an apothecary means dividing your attention between remedies, customers and the counter. You do not have to approach every task the same way. Plague Doctor: Apothecary’s demo includes Standard and Relaxed rules, alongside assistance and comfort options.

Keep the tasks you enjoy

You can count change yourself or use automatic counting. Assisted grinding is another option. If you enjoy the hands-on steps, keep them part of your routine. If one task gets in the way of the part you want to spend time with, try the available assistance and see what suits you.

Read, hear and look comfortably

The demo also offers larger text, camera-motion options and captions for gameplay sound cues. Take a moment to look through those settings before settling into your shop. These are practical ways to adjust the experience, rather than a checklist you need to complete.

Try it at your own pace

The free Steam demo has no in-game day limit. Its content is still bounded: one worker, with annex expansions and further progression reserved for the full game.

Which task do you like doing by hand, and which would you rather have help with? I’d love to hear how you prefer to run your shop.
