Black Hollow · Gameplay notes
Black Hollow: what will you build around?
Staff strikes, volatile flasks and plague-powered abilities: a closer look at the choices that shape a hunt.

Pick a direction, then put it to work
A hunt isn’t just about getting through the next crowd. Black Hollow gives you relic choices during a run, letting you shape a build around the powers you pick. The interesting question is what you want those choices to do for the way you fight.
More than one tool for the job
Your toolkit includes staff attacks, volatile flasks and plague-powered abilities. Combine attacks and wards, watch for openings, and keep moving as enemies close in. When you’re choosing an upgrade, think about which part of that toolkit you actually enjoy using—not just which choice looks impressive on its own.
The screenshot above is a look at the Runestone Level Up screen. It’s a gameplay capture, not a promise that every run will present those exact choices or values.
Try a direction in the demo
The free single-player demo is available on Steam. It’s a chance to experiment with the combat before deciding whether the full game belongs on your wishlist.
If you’ve played, what do you gravitate toward: staff combat, flasks, or plague-powered abilities? Thanks for sharing your runs and feedback.
