Played Black Hollow? Here’s what makes your feedback useful

You don’t need to write an essay. A few honest details about your time with Black Hollow can help the next player decide and help me understand your experience.

Start with what you actually played

Black Hollow is available on Steam. If you’ve spent time with it, I’d love to hear what you think. You don’t need a long review or the perfect wording. Say what you enjoyed, what frustrated you, and whether you would recommend the experience to someone else.

A specific moment is often more useful than a broad verdict: a fight that clicked, a choice that felt unclear, or a point where you weren’t sure what to do next. Write in your own words and describe the experience you actually had.

Why the first ten matter

Steam requires ten eligible reviews to calculate a game’s first Overall Review Score. For a paid game, reviews from accounts that bought the game on Steam count toward that score; reviews from key-activated copies can still be read and provide valuable feedback.

That milestone gives visitors another way to understand what players think. It is not a promise of an algorithm boost, and it is not a request for positive reviews. An honest recommendation either way is what makes the system useful.

Keep a review and a bug report useful

For a review, focus on what another player would want to know before playing. For a technical problem, include what happened, what you were doing just before it, and whether you can repeat it. If you know your game version and relevant hardware, those details can help too.

Please keep passwords, account details and other private information out of public reports. The studio’s contact section is linked below if you want to send a more detailed report.

A thank-you from the developer

I’m the solo developer behind PolyPixel Interactive. Having people spend time with something I created means a lot, and taking a moment to share a thoughtful, honest response means a great deal too.

Thank you to everyone who has played, shared a clip, or told someone about Black Hollow. If you choose to leave a review, tell your own story. That is the feedback I’m asking for.
